WHAT DOES MY MEMBERSHIP GIVE ME? Answers!!! A non-management, law-based
answers to your questions about manufactured housing. There are efforts to make the law more supportive of
the resident versus the owner. We live in manufactured housing, not the owners or management.
At times have I heard, "The manager should live here." We have all heard of LOBBYISTS and financial fiascos
plaguing our economy. Michigan has one of the largest lobbying association for park owners in the nation. It is
important that residents work to get the laws changed, meet the park owners/managers headon. This means participation
and support. You have to take the initiative to find out about your home's future. As President John Kennedy
said, "Ask not what your (Association) can do your you", Ask, 'What can I do for my (Association)."
In 2009, a free website has been set-up saving the Association over $100/year; newsletters
are free to all. Soon, newsletters will be coming electronically. Paid members will need to provide their email
addresses for inclusion in this automatic delivery. The Association saves money by this method of home delivery
of the newsletter. If you don't participate, you are in essence "not voicing your opinion about conditions."
The Association has your welfare in mind. You get free advertising; monthly meetings where you can bring your concerns
to be addressed. You can get the personal attention you want. If
you need INS information, legal resources, health referrals, handicapped/retiree information, the Association
can provide it. Call Sue Miller, President at 734-572-8995, if need you need resource information
or assistance. Join in and get your $'s worth.
Hispanic translator is needed. Assist your fellow residents who may need translation services
associated with letter writing, or even translation on the website. We look forward to hearing from you.
If important letters or interpretation of American Laws and INS (Migration and Naturalization Service) information is needed,
contact Sue Miller at 734-572-8995.
